Kentland, Indiana offers a wide variety of recreational facilities to its residents
and visitors. Softball, basketball, walking facilities, swimming pool and nearby
golf course provide relaxation to many ages. Those facilities include
the Community Center, Batton Park and Cast Park.
Community Center
The Kentland Community Center is located at the corner of 4th and Lincoln
Streets in Kentland.
Facilities include tennis courts, gymnasium, softball fields, outside basketball
courts and a swimming pool.
Batton Park
Batton Park is located between 4th and 6th Street and Lincoln Street. This
park was named after Robert S. and M. Jeannette Batton, long-time residents
of Kentland. Mr. Batton was a banker and Mrs. Batton was active in many
community philanthropic activities.
Facilities include recreational equipment, softball diamonds, and picnicking
facilities including 2 shelter houses

Alvin C. Cast Park (Cast Park)
The 13.5 acre park located at North First Street (C.R. 350W) and C.R. 15005
was named after the late Alvin C. Cast who was a major figure in the community
for over half a century. He provided leadership as an educator, businessman,
and local and state political leader.
Facilities include softball diamonds, walking paths, shelter house and a
renovated depot which is now a community building.
